MUMBAI, FEB 13: History will be written on Sunday at Mahalakshmi when an eight-event card of the 28th day of Mumbai meeting will take place with all fun and frolic.

Five sponsored events are set aside for the Clash of the Titans’ in which the riders are given mounts by draw. A team of eight top Indian riders will clash with equal number of international riders.

The turf authorities have adopted a scheme of allotting points to first six placed runners in every race. Accordingly, the jockey of the winner will be awarded 16 points.The riders of the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth placed runners will be given 11, 7, 4, 2 and one point respectively.The races enmarked for the Clash’ are from Race No 3 to 7. A close look at the contenders and their riders gives the home team an edge.
