CHANDIGARH, Sept 24: Sanjay Public School, Sector 44 routed Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19 by 5-0 in the Chandigarh Junior Football Championship for S.D Trophy (under 19 years) at Football Stadium in Sector 17 today, Sanjay School dominated the proceedings and scored their first goal in the third minute through right striker Harish who also increased the lead with another goal in the 12th minute.However Government Model boys did not lose heart. They contained the rivals for the next 15 minutes. Sanjay School then went all out to score three more goals. Left striker Ram Bilas (29th, 50th) and right half Rajinder (30th) were the scorers.In the second match, OCF, Sector 29 beat Shishu Niketan Model Sr. Sec. School-22 by 4-0. The winners led 2-0 at half time. Right striker Vikram of OCF team scored the first goal in the 20th minute. Shishu Niketan conceded the second goal in the 30th minute through left half Happy. Vikram (46th) and Ajay Pal (53rd) increased the victory margin for OCF.DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8 beat New Public School 18 by 6-2. DAV School opened their account in the third minute after right striker Ravinder Dutt scored the first goal with a powerful shot.DAV boys increased their lead in the 30th minute through right winger Munish. The DAV winger scored two more goals in the 37th and 44th minute to complete his hat-trick.New Public School changed their tactics and managed to score two quick goals in the 47th and 50th minute through leftout Rajesh and right striker Sidhart.Right striker Ravinder of DAV School-8 scored fifth goal in the 52nd minute and Shanta completed the winners' tally in the dying minute.St. Xavier's Sr. Sec. School-44 beat Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School 20 by 4-0 goals. Right striker Manoj Singh (28th), left striker Dheeraj (34th), right half Sanjay Rana (50th) and left striker Bhupinder (69th) were the scorers.
