Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has insisted that the deposed judges would not be reinstated "under any circumstances" and expressed confidence that the next Parliament would not revoke his decisions.A situation will also not crop up prompting Parliament to restore them since "any change in the present status will require two-thirds support in the House for such a move", he said."A two-thirds majority will be needed to amend the Constitution. The incumbent judges are holding their offices in accordance with the Constitution," he told The News.Musharraf, who spoke to the newspaper while dining with his family at a hotel on Mondya night, said in response to a question that the "presumption of dissolving the next National Assembly in case it opts to restore the deposed judges of the superior courts is out of place"."No Parliament would like to remove sitting judges of the court," he said.When Musharraf's attention was drawn to US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher's comments that he (Musharraf) could dissolve Parliament if it tries to reinstate the judges deposed during last year's emergency rule, the President said such a stage "would never come".Musharraf sacked nearly 60 judges of the superior judiciary after they refused to endorse the emergency he proclaimed last year. Several deposed judges, including former Chief Justice Iftikhar M Chaudhry, continue to be under house arrest though the emergency has been lifted.
