All the world’s a stage. And all the men and women merely players…..Shakespeare. And some of them perform really well. This week Isha presents Revathi Salunkhe’s Indian Ballet, supported by a dramatised story line. Witness a painting exhibition where the works of 47 artists will be displayed. For music lovers there is a three day discussion on music.

Max Mueller Bhavan: Die Vertreibung aus dem Paradies (The Expulsion from Paradise) 1977, Col., 119 min. Directed by Niklaus Shilling, the camera is handled by Ingo Hamer. The cast includes Herb Andress and Elke Haltaufderheide. The film is made up of several stories which Niklaus Schilling has combined into a tragi-comedy with elements from several genres. The whole film is homily to cinema, full of direct and indirect references. The film revolves around the character Andy Pauls who returns to his hometown Munich where his mother is dying and discovers that she has left him only a kitschy painting `The Expulsion from Paradise.’ At 7 pm on Friday.

Asa Zaalach Kasa: Written by Rajan Darvehkar, directed by Ashok Samel, the cast includes Suhas Kulkarni, Sunil Godbole, Ketan Kshrisagar, Pritija and Jyoti Chandekar. At Bharat Natya Mandir, 5 p.m. on Friday and at Tilak Smarak Mandir, 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Halka Fulka: Written by Hrishikesh Paranjpe, directed by Vijay Patkar, the cast includes Rasika Joshi, Nandu Gadgil and Vijay Kadam. At Balgandharva Rangmandir, 5 p.m. on Friday.

Manas Ashi Vagtatach Ka: Written by Hrishikesh Paranjpe, directed by Sanjay Dole. At Balgandharva Rangmandir, 9.30 p.m. on Friday.

Vocal recital: A classical recital by Suresh Patki followed by a tabla solo by Shrikant Devipur. At the Senate Hall, Holiday Inn, 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Sunday.

Cassette release: A cassette release of the songs of Shahir Annabhau Sathe, Amar Shaikh, D N Gavhankar by A K Hangal. Actor Nilu Phule will preside over the function. At Bharat Natya Mandir, 5.30 p.m. on Saturday.

Gaanvardhan: A seminar on music will be held to discuss the various topics based on music. The talks will be held for three days. The seminar will be inaugurated by critic Dr. Shrirang Sangoram who will also be felicitated by danseuse Rohini Bhate. Mukund Phansalkar will deliver a lecture-demonstration on music language that touches the heart.

On the second day, the topic of discussion will be riyaz, tantra and mantra and participants will include Pandit T D Janorikar, Pandit Mohanrao Karve, Usman Khan, Vijay Koprkar, Shubhada Paradkar and Yadavraj Phad. On the last day famous singer Veena Sahasrabuddhe will speak on the late Kashinath Shankar Bodas. The programme has been organised with the help of Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University and Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj. At Manohar Mangal Karyalaya, Mehendale Garage, 6 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Exhibition: An exhibition by more than 40 artists from Pune. The exhibition has been organised in aid of Concern India Foundation, a no-profit, public charitable trust that supports development-oriented organisations working with the most vulnerable sections of society – children, women, youth, under-trial prisoners, the disabled the aged. Famous artists like Dr. Bhaiyyasaheb Onkar, Ravi Paranjpe, Shobha Patki, Murli Lahoti and Ranjana Joshi along with 40 other swill exhibit their works. Exhibition on at the Inn Galleria of Holiday Inn on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
