Seeking to redefine the concept of minority, RSS on Tuesday said only those born in another country can have that status and that Muslims and Christians of the country cannot be classified as minorities.

“Why should they be called minorities,” RSS chief K S Sudarshan said after releasing the book Saffron Surge authored by Tarun Vijay.

He said there are 73 sects in Islam and people of all the sects live in harmony in India.

“You find Muslims fighting among themselves in other countries. But in

India, they live in a peaceful manner,” the Sangh leader said.

He argued that India’s Constitution had many loopholes.

“Even B R Ambedkar was not happy with the Constitution. He had once said that he drafted the Constitution the way he was asked to do,” Sudarshan claimed.

The Sangh leader said Hindutva believes in unifying the whole world by love while the Western world believes in competition, struggle for existence and exploitation of nature were very much strong in those countries.

“In India, we believe soul is everywhere and we think everybody should live in harmony. We say we should exploit nature as per our need,” he said.
