AD Singh is Mumbai’s party man. He manages Copa Cabana, the pub that is always crowded, and is responsible for some of Mumbai’s most swinging parties. He specialises in organising bashes at the sea.
And thanks to his job he does not spend much time at home. In fact you are more likely to catch AD behind the bar at Copa, than in his own living room.
His den, at his Breach Candy’s residence, is a bedroom which has been converted into an office. "This is the room I spend most time in," says AD. It has all the bare essentials — computer, phones and people. Unlike most, AD does not have a connection to the internet. He has a fax but no E-mail address. "Life is so full, where do I have time to surf the net?" he asks.
This party animal has thought of moving his office out of home but finds this much more convenient. "It beats the commute," he says. It also means if he has a busy late night at Copa he can catch a quick nap in the afternoon. "I have a crazy work schedule. We have a running office from 10 to 6 and then at night I’m out working again. But this is what I enjoy, as it is very social," he says. He would love to swap places with fashion photographer Farokh Chotia. As then he would be able to spend his day with loads of gorgeous women.
For now though AD hopes to expand his entertainment and leisure services so that he will be even more busier!
