Editors printers and publishers of 11 publications appeared before the high court on Wednesday in response to a contempt of court notice served on them for publishing reports on an alleged sex scandal in Mysore.

A three-judge bench drew up an elaborate list of reporters, editors, publishers and printers answerable for the reports and adjourned the case till January 22. The bench allowed the respondents two weeks to file replies.

Stating that the court didn’t want those staying in far-away places to come for each hearing, the bench added the residents of Bangalore and Mysore were expected to appear as it will help the counsels present the case better.
