N.Karnataka people’s directory released

BANGALORE, July 1: A directory of people from North Karnataka, residing in Bangalore, has been released. Opposition leader in the State Assembly, H K Patil, who released the book published by the North Karnataka Area Citizen’s Development Association, called upon the Association to take steps to preserve the culture of people from the area, which was undergoing changes with the people having begun to live away from their home towns. Speaking on the occasion, Basavaraj Bommai, Janata Dal leader, called for steps to better the developmental prospects of the North Karnataka area. The Association plans to hold cultural festivals relavent to the North Karnataka region.
