MUMBAI, April 25: Nagpada Neighbourhood House (NNH) boys entered the semi-finals of Colgate Palmolive DB Prabhu Memorial Basketball Youth (Under-16) tournament at the Indian Gymkhana with 59-41 regulation victory over Agnel Gymkhana here today.

NNH’s Chinese twins — Hsing and Shun Liang dominated the match. Their speed and ability to jump higher than their own teammates and rivals, helped them in controlling the rebound boards.

Agnel Gymkhana had good players in KB Binoy and Anup Nair in their ranks, but the NNH cagers were too good form them. With Rizwan Shaikh chipping in through his

long range shots, NNH cruised to a comfortable victory.

Indian Gymkhana joined NNH in the semifinals by beating Agradneya in a lowscoring match.

Gymkhana cagers, a little overconfident after their victory over Wellingdon YMCA in the league match, came back after being down (9-11) at half-time. They hit a combination in the second half and won 37-26 over Agredneya.

Lanky Rohan Kumar and Sachin Rao combined well inthe offence and did the bulk of scoring. Agradeneya came under pressure once their lead started coming down.

Quarter-finals: NNH 59 (Hsing Liang 21, Rizwan Shaikh 18, Shun Lieng 11) bt Agnel Gym 41 (Anup Nair 19, Avinash Amin 13, KB Binoy 9).

Indian Gymkhana 37 (Rohan Kumar 17, Sachin Rao 12) bt Agradneya 26 (Nayur Athalye 8).

Girls: Agradneya 28 (Gayatri Manolikar 15) bt Agnel Gym 7.
