Naidu brings home NDA memories

Back from a two-day Delhi tour, TDP chief and CM N. Chandrababu Naidu today said he was hopeful his ties with the Centre would remain smooth despite recent demand to remove Narendra Modi and the decision to give up claim on the Lok Sabha Speaker’s post.

Naidu met cabinet colleagues and leaders at his home this afternoon and appraised them of his Delhi discussions. The CM is said to have explained his chat with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi yesterday.

‘‘As she has decided to support TDP in Amalapuram bypoll, it is our duty to thank her,’’ he reportedly said.
