
GUNTUR, AUG 25: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today ordered an inquiry into the collapse of a hotel near here in which eight people were killed.
Naidu visited the ill-fated hotel at Karampudi village, about 125 km from here, which collapsed three days ago due to heavy rains. Naidu also visited the rain ravaged areas in the vicinity. He said property worth Rs 27 crore had been damaged in Guntur district.
He said the government would chalk out a long-term plan to raise the level of culvirts in the state which were the worst casualities in the current torrential rains.
