TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu will embark upon a 100-day tour of the state from April 21 “to create awareness about corruption and failed governance of the Congress Government and the mismanagement that has resulted in skyrocketing prices”. His ‘‘yatra’’ called “mee kosam” (for you) will start from Dalitwada in Chandanagiri Mandal of Chittoor district.
“Corruption has reached new heights. This Government has failed to protect the common man’s interests by making no efforts to control inflation and rising prices,” said Naidu.
He will begin his ‘‘yatra’’ by first going to Thirumala to seek Lord Venkateshwara’s blessings. Covering 70 kilometres daily, in the first week itself Naidu plans to cover Chittoor, Prakasam, Nellore and Guntur. Naidu said his ‘‘yatra’’ would cover all the 294 Assembly constituencies, including the constituencies where bypolls would be held on May 29.
Beginning May 27, a three-day-long public meeting is also scheduled to be held at Visakhapatnam. However, this may have to be postponed in view of the May 29 bypolls to 18 Assembly and four Lok Sabha seats.
