Chennai, Apr 10: Narain Karthikeyan’s hopes of finishing among the points in the British Formula 3 Championship on Sunday suffered a setback when he was forced to withdraw in the 14th lap due to a technical snag.

Antonio Pizzonia of Manor Motorsport clinched top spot at the race. Narain’s team mate Tomas Schekter was second, while Michael Bentwood of Great Britain finished third.

Narain is now in joint fourth place with Milos Pavlovic and Michael Bentwood with 12 points.

Following is the championship ranking after two rounds: Antonio Pizzonia– 40 points; Tomas Schekter–32; Gianmaria Bruni–14; Narain Karthikeyan–12; Milos Pavlovic–12; Michael Bentwood–12.
