After successful completion of the phase I and II campaigns, the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) has entered its third phase with a three-pronged strategy, Union Minister of state for Health and Family Welfare, Panabaka Lakshmi said on Monday.

NACP III is envisaged to strengthen links between general health programmes and prevention of HIV/AIDS. It will reach upto village levels with three aims— care and support, treatment and prevention —Lakshmi said while inaugurating a five-day conference on ‘Actions to strengthen linkages between sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS’.
