Natraj nets winner for Union Club

NEW DELHI, June 4: Union Club, Punjab Heroes and Lodhi Athletic Club cruised in the Delhi Soccer Association B’ division league at the Ambedkar and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

In the dying minutes, Natraj struck the winner for Union Club in its 1-0 win against Raisina FC at the Nehru Stadium.

In another Group B match, Punjab Heroes scored a 2-0 win against Ajmal Club. Arun put Punjab into the lead in the 13th minute while Rakesh Kumar increased the margin in the 53rd minute.

At the Nehru Stadium warm-up ground, Lodhi Athletic Club beat Panchkuian Youngs by a lone goal in Group A. Mukesh scored in the 47rd minute.

In another Group A match, Timarpur Club were held to a 1-1 draw by Cosmos Club. Noor Ahmed put Timarpur ahead in the 29th minute while Cosmos’ Rola equalised in the 42nd minute.
