CHANDIGARH, Oct 5: Naveen Jain, with seven points, bagged the title in the ninth Chandigarh State chess championship which concluded at the St Xavier’s School in Sector 44 here today. Sanjeev Kumar, also with 7 points, however, got the second spot.

RS Tiwari secured 6.5 points to win the third position.

Naveen Jain and Sanjeev Kumar – 7 points; RS Tiwari – 6.5 points; Abhinandan Vohra, Amit Sharma, BN Prasad, Ajay Jaswal, BS Rawat, Rakesh Kumar – 6 points; Naveen Bansal, Ramesh Thakur, Manmohan Singh – 5.5 points.
