CPI (ML) Maoists on Sunday demanded from Andhra Pradesh government that the truce be extended by six months and combing operations in North Telangana districts stopped immediately.CPI (ML) Maoist party leader Varavara Rao told reporters that both Maoists and Janashakti parties have been raising this demand. He said that during the first phase of peace talks, State Home Minister Jana Reddy had agreed to leave the issue of Naxals carrying arms with them, which was never controversial.Even the police got the clause included in the conditions, Rao said, adding the government should clarify what hurdles the Naxals were creating for the talks. — PTI
