NCP still united on foreigners

The NCP may have split over Sharad Pawar’s decision to support Congress in an alliance but the party maintained its stand today against people of foreign origin taking over high positions. ‘‘We have not informed them that there is any change in our stand,’’ NCP spokesman Praful Patel said. ‘‘The Congress chief herself announced that she was not insisting on a name for leader of the secular coalition. This would be decided by the constituents,’’ he said.
