NEW DELHI, SEPT 28: The National Commission for Women (NCW) and the National Commission for Minorities (NCM) will jointly probe the reported case of a nun being stripped and forced to drink urine in Chapra district of Bihar and recommend appropriate action.
A team, comprising NCW members Sayeda Hameed and Purnima Advani along with NCM Vice-Chairman Bawa Singh, is leaving for Bihar tomorrow to get first hand information regarding the incident, Hameed said here today.
“We are looking into the matter with the Minorities Commission as NCW feels that this is a violation of constitutional rights of a woman,” she said.
