
Srinath remained on course for gold in the under-12 boys section of the World Youth Chess Championship after settling for a draw with Hou Yifan of China in the ninth round game here.
With just two rounds remaining in 10 different World Youth Championships being organised simultaneously, Srinath took his tally to eight points out of a possible nine. He was half a point adrift of second seed Sujgirov Sanan of Russia who has 7.5 points in his kitty.
