A new leader may head the BJP at the time of the next Lok Sabha elections if they are held after five years, senior BJP leader L.K. Advani said on BBC’s Hard Talk India when asked whether the BJP would be led by someone other than former prime minister A.B. Vajpayee and Advani if the UPA Government completes its five-year term. When asked if the BJP leadership would be given to a younger generation, Advani said: ‘‘We’ve done it in many ways. In the election of party office-bearers, in our selection of candidates.’’ — (PTI)
