NEW DELHI, November 16: “Here comes Shoaib Akhtar,” said Rahul Dravid and put the yellow-coloured ball into the new bowling machine. “Come on Rahul, it is your turn to bat,” said Kapil Dev.

The occasion was the inauguration of a new bowling machine being installed at the Madan Lal Academy at the Siri Fort DDA sports complex this afternoon. Presented by Veetee Group of the United Kingdom, the machine is expected to help the 60-odd trainees at the academy being run by the former India all-rounder.

Before formally inaugurating the machine, Rahul Dravid called upon the parents of the trainees present at the venue to differentiate between encouraging and putting pressure on the child. “The bottomline is to let the boys enjoy the game,” the star Indian batsman said.

Kapil Dev and chairman of the selection committee Chandu Borde complimented Madan Lal on his effort to guide youngsters on the right line. “Kapil and Madan are tough task-masters. You have to work hard to reach the top,” Borde told the boys.
