CHENNAI, Jan 8: Dr P V Vaidyanathan has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Annamalai University, Chidambaram. An alumnus of the University, he was a rank student of the 1958 mechanical emgineering branch. He got his M Tech form IIT-Kharagpur and Ph D from Leeds University, UK. Under his deanship, 16 engineering and technology courses were accreditated and 14 of them got `A' grade. He was instrumental in forming the Production Engineering department for which he was head till his retirement.
