CHENNAI, Jan 8: Dr P V Vaidyanathan has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Annamalai University, Chidambaram. An alumnus of the University, he was a rank student of the 1958 mechanical emgineering branch. He got his M Tech form IIT-Kharagpur and Ph D from Leeds University, UK. Under his deanship, 16 engineering and technology courses were accreditated and 14 of them got A’ grade. He was instrumental in forming the Production Engineering department for which he was head till his retirement.
