AHMEDABAD, Nov 16: Activists from NGOs, along with senior citizens, practicing professionals, executives, businessmen and students, deliberated on why there was an “erroneous impression that Muslims are not eager to participate in the process to evolve an eclectic, multi-cultural and multi-religious society” at a consultation session at IIM on Sunday. Two resolutions were unanimously adopted and suggestions were registered for an action plan. They included formation of a platform within the community to clarify and encourage secular traits and share them on broad-based public platforms, improve the quality of education and concentrate on positive character building to groom a respectable image.
