NHAI goes down same road

The knives are out for NHAI chairman N Gokulram yet again. It is learnt that the Karnataka-cadre official is on his way out, with the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways led by T R Baalu blaming the chairman for most of the slowdown on the highway sector. With Gokulram expected to be shown the door soon after the PM returns from the SAARC Summit in Colombo, names of his likely successors are already doing the rounds and a UP-cadre IAS official is said to be on top of the list.
