The NHRC has taken amiss the ‘‘incomplete’’ report submitted by the Kerala government on the incident of firing on tribals in Muthanga forests on February 19.

Commission sources said the report of the government was without the report of the DGP. They said the police version held answers to the conflicting reports on the deaths of the landless tribals who had encroached upon the Waynad Wildlife Sanctuary land. Today’s report contains only the version of the Chief Secretary.
