SAS NAGAR, Jan 14: A 30-year-old Nigerian youth was arrested by the local police today for his alleged involvement in the smuggling of smack. The arrested youth, booked under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act, has been identified as Nelson Omiko Uso.

Mohali SP B.S. Randhawa told Newsline that Uso, who was active in Chandigarh and SAS Nagar, belonged to the same gang which was busted two months ago by the Chandigarh police in Manimajra.

Smack worth Rs 50,000 was recovered from his possession and he will be produced before the Kharar court tomorrow for police remand.

Randhawa said that Uso, targeted students and rickshaw-pullers to sell smack. Nelson was arrested from Phase-VII.
