KATHMANDU, SEPT 28: The unfortunate disqualification in the men's 4x200 freestyle relay denied India a clean sweep as they continued to rule the pool by sweeping to five of the six gold medals with two meet records on the third day of the Swimming Competitions here today.Teenager Nisha Millet bagged her fifth title, setting a Games mark in the women's 200 freestyle. The disqualification of the relay team denied India the luxury of a clean sweep after they had raked in all six titles on the first day. The team which looked certain to claim the gold finished well ahead of their rivals, but was disqualified as one of the swimmers had dived into the water early.Nisha, who has entered in six individual events, has won five gold already. Zeba Wadia accounted for the other mark as she clocked 1:19.09 in the 100m breaststroke.Two gold for liftersIndian lifters continued their supremacy by expectedly winning both the gold medals at stake in the 69 kg and 77 kg events in weightlifting.Sandeep Kumar won the 69 kg gold by virtue of lesser body weight after he came strongly in the clean and jerk to tie with Pakistan's Awais Akbar for a total of 282.5 kg.Satisha Rai brought the second gold by winning the 77 kg title with a total lift of 320 kg (snatch 142.5, clean and jerk 177.5).Vijayan tricks againStriker IM Vijayan produced his second successive hattrick to guide India to a resounding 3-0 victory over Bhutan in a group A match and consolidate their position for a semifinal berth in football.His first goal came within 12 seconds, the second after seven minutes and the third in the 48th minute. India will take on Nepal in the final league match.Gold for AnjaliIndian shooters began their gold hunt in shooting by capturing both the titles in the women's 10m air rifle event. Anjali Ved Pathak claimed the indiviudal 10m air rifle title with a creditable effort of 500 points. Suma Dixit grabbed the silver (494 points).Anjali, Suma and Deepali Deshpande won India the team gold by 1176 points.
