Mumbai, November 9: Nitesh Bhat of Manjunath Vidyalaya, Dombivli and Vaibhav Saxena of Fr Agnel Multipurpose School, Vashi crowned themselves with glory in the under-10 and Open Boys section of the sixth Bournvita inter-school chess tournament organised by the Kalina Recreation & Sports Club jointly with the Bombay Chess Association at the Prabodhankar Thackeray Krida Sankul, Vile Parle on Thursday.

Boy’s Open: 1. Unni Anirudh (8) lost to Saxena Vaibhav (9.5), 2. Sathe Devendra (8.5) drew Kamat Amar (8.5), 3. Gogte Yashodhan (9) bt Sadavarte Sagar (8), 4. Rabo Cup golf
Rabo India Finance along with the Chairman and members of the Golf sub-committee of Willingdon Sports Club (WSC) will organise the second WSC Gold Open tournament on November 24 and 25. This tournament for Rabo Cup will be played in the Stableford format.

Over 250 corporate and and institutional golfers from WSC, US Club, The Bombay Presidency Golf Club (Chembur), oter club’s in Mumbai and from all over India would participate (by invitation only) in this corporate event.

Rakesh dazzles
Mumbai players performed excellently in the recently concluded Maharashtra State Taekwon-Do champioship organised by Maharashtra Taekwon-Do association under the aegies of Taekwon-Do Association of India.

Mumbai’s Rakesh Kashyap won the silver medals in sparring and patterns in the green belt category and has been selected to take part in the National tournament to be held in Goa in December 2000. Ashok Singh won the silver medal in the sparring in whit belt category while Anwar Shaikh won bronze in sparring in the yellow belt category. This information has been given by Surendra Kashmiri according to a N-Yo Taekwon-Do (International Taekwon-Do Fedration) press release.
