No ban on polybags: Admn

CHANDIGARH Jan 15: The Environment Department of Chandigarh Administration in a notice has clarified that it has not so far imposed any ban on the use of polythene bags in Sector 17. In a notification issued by the Director Public relations, Chandigarh Administration, it was clarified that the administration had only invited objections from the public regarding the "proposal" to ban the polythene bags in Sector 17 within 60 days from the date of issuance of a draft notification.
