No move to shift AG’s office to Aurangabad

NAGPUR, JULY 18: There is no proposal to shift a section of the Accountant General’s(AG) office to Aurangabad, assured Accountant General, Maharashtra-II, B R Khairnar.

He also announced that his earlier orders about allotment of an office room to the Civil Audit and Accounts Association would be kept in abeyance. Following his assurances, the association called off its dharna agitation late last night.

The AG had discussions with the association leaders on the issue of shifting the AG office sections to Aurangabad, and denial of an office room facility to the association. He said the office allotment issue would be referred to the CAG.
