Having vociferously criticised the NDA government for the Gujarat riots in Lok Sabha, and demanding a rehabilitation plan, Shivraj Patil himself did not have much to offer. ‘‘We do not have a plan as such but we will do anything and everything to ensure that better harmony prevails in the country,’’ he said. Asked if there were any plans to re-investigate certain cases, Patil said, ‘‘The courts are already handling them. Otherwise, the general perception is known to all of us, and it has an impact on our thinking too.’’
