Disappointed at his "ordinary" form in the IPL so far, big hitting Pakistani batsman Shahid Afridi lamented that his non-performance with the bat has been one of the important factors for Hyderabad Deccan Chargers languishing at the bottom of the table. The Hyderabad team share the bottom spot in the IPL table with Bangalore Royal Challengers with just four points from two wins out of nine and Afridi, who has contributed just 47 with the bat from seven matches, was a disappointed man."I am extremely disappointed, I have not contributed for the team with the bat. My team has not been doing well because of my ordinary form. It really hurts me," he said on the sidelines of a children's' programme at the team hotel in New Delhi ahead of their match against Delhi Daredevils on Thursday.Afridi would not also think that his decent bowling performance - seven wickets from as many matches – has compensated for his flop show in batting."That (bowling) was also just the average. It can't compensate for my batting failure. Not batting well hurts me," said the Pathan who was dropped from the last match.Asked how he was looking ahead to playing against his national captain Shoaib Malik on Thursday, the flamboyant batsman said it would be just normal atmosphere between two professionals."It will be nice to play against him, but we are just two professionals playing for two teams. Each would want for his team to win," he said.Afridi talked highly of his skipper VVS Laxman and stand-in captain Adam Gilchrist, especially of the latter. "Laxman led the team well in the first six matches. But it was a lesson to learn how Gilly treated the players after our two losses under him. He (Gilchrist) must be feeling bad, but he does not show it. He tries to absorb it and speaks nicely to team-mates. It was amazing," he said.
