A day after the leakage of its list of candidates along with their caste names for the Bihar Assembly polls, the Congress today tried to paper off the exercise, saying it was an in-house document aimed at broad basing representation of various sections.Party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said: ‘‘The list has not been released at all. The list that we are talking about is part of the in-house exercise for selection of candidates which is a long process.’’ He said it was not the list officially released by the party. He said such information, classification and analysis of information was not done by Congress alone, but several other parties to help them in decision-making.Singhvi also brushed aside questions on what impact the party would have of former Bihar PCC Chief Ram Jatan Sinha leaving the party indicating that individuals do not matter. “It is not the right time to comment on such actions, but for all partymen to work unitedly,’’ he said.
