MUMBAI, MAR 13: Country’s two premier bourses Bombay and National Stock Exchanges are expected to begin derivatives trading in early May, a top SEBI offical said. "NSE and BSE are in the process of setting up systems (for derivatives trading) and we expect both the exchanges to start trading in derivatives by early-May," senior executive director of SEBI, Pratip Kar said.

He said both NSE and BSE are expected to start the trading almost simultaneously and the delay could be due to the time-taken for putting in-place the software and other infrastructure facilities for derivatives trading. "As far I know, there is no delay from our side. Exchanges can begin trading after informing us," Kar said.
