Mumbai, Nov 15: Nupur Dudwadkar of Sri Shivaji Cricket Club, Kurla and Yogesh Patil of hosts Kurla Sports Club slammed 101 and an unbeaten 102 in 80 balls with 22 fours, respectively, in the second-round of the Balkrishna Bapat Suburban cricket tournament (45 overs) at New Hind, Matunga, yesterday.

Somaiya rule state
Somaiya College, Vidyavihar, returned victorious in the boys under-19 event of the Multigames state-level Inter-school basketball tournament held at Satara, from November 4-6. In the final, Somaiya, representing Mumbai District, defeated Pune 69-45. Ralph Gomes (41), Aijaz Shaikh (15) and Mark Fernandes (10) were the main scorers. The Somaiya trio found a place in the state side for the Nationals. Earlier, in the semi-final, Mumbai had defeated fancied Nashik, represented by Fr Agnel, Vashi, 45-40.

Three other Mumbai teams St Xavier’s College (U-19 girls), Convenmt of Jesus and Mary (U-14 girls), Don Bosco (U-17 boys)failed to go past the semi-finals in the same event.

SOMAIYA College defeated Acharya College 52-39 in the Acharya College U-22 winter basketball tournament today.
