NEW DELHI, Oct 19: Leander Paes failed at the final hurdle to make the main draw of the Eurocard Open Tennis Championships in Stuttgart, when he lost to Jeff Tarango of the United States in straight sets on Sunday.Tarango, who beat David Wheaton in the first round of the qualifiers beat Paes 6-3, 6-4. Earlier Paes had got past Eduard Schneider a wildcard entrant in the qualifying tournament.Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, ranked fourth in the world, will be taking part in the doubles.
