PANCHKULA, NOV 21: The Women’s Study Centre of the local Government College organised a paper-reading contest and poetry-recitation competitions on Friday. The topics were — "The 21st century woman" and "Woman equality — how much practical ?"

The programme was presided by Lily Rishi, senior lecturer, English Department. Incharge of the centre and senior lecturer Dr Kapila Pankaj described the various activities of the Women Study Centre of the college to the students. In the paper-reading contest, the first prize went to Sunil Kumar of BA-II and the second prize was bagged by Nidhi Sharma of BCom-I. The poetry-recitation contest was won by Kulvinder Singh of BA-III and Amit Kumar of BCom-II.
