Ganganbir Singh, 21 from the city with only 15-20 per cent vision suffers from rare ailment called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) in which a person loses eyesight with age.

“I scored 92.93 per cent in the Common Entrance Test (CAT) and had received call for group discussion and interview from four IIMs,” said Singh.

“Now after receiving the confirmed admission calls from three IIMs, I have decided to do my post graduation from Bangalore,” Singh added.

He said he prepared for CAT with someone reading the material aloud to him and he dictated the answers to the writer.

According to Singh, he has been suffering from RP since childhood and has been subjected to discrimination all his life.

“With this achievement I have silenced my critics. I have proved them wrong,” said Singh who is a Bachelor of Commerce with specialisation in advanced accountancy and audit.

“When I first went to a professional coaching class to prepare for my CAT, I was out rightly rejected,” said Singh, remembering his difficult days.
