CHANDIGARH, Jan 27: With the election activity hotting up, the process of defections continued today with a number of party leaders switching over their loyalties.

A few ex-servicemen today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at a function at the BJP office in Sector 33. Prominent among these were Air Vice Marshal M.S. Dhillon (retd), Lt Col P.P. Singh and Wg Cdr J.S. Talwar.

Meanwhile, a woman activist of Congress, Vidyawati, and another woman leader of the BJP, Shyama Negi, today joined the Samajwadi Janata Party. At a meeting, the Bapu Dham Sangharsh Morcha also extended support to SJP candidate Harmohan Dhawan.

Neerja Chaudhary, a district Congress leader, also switched her loyalties to the Ajey Bharat Party today, in favour of its candidate.
