Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi on Thursday referred the notice of a privilege motion by Lok Janshakti Party leader Ram Vilas Paswan against Gujarat Minister of State for Home to the state Speaker for ‘‘appropriate action.’’ Paswan had in his notice alleged that the Minister had maligned his ‘‘secular image’’ by saying the state was carrying out a survey of Christians as suggested by him (Paswan) in the LS.
