
A senior executive of the Oil India Ltd and two others had a providential escape after a Pawan Hans helicopter met with an accident at Bongaigaon in lower Assam today.
On lease with Oil India Ltd, the helicopter that had just taken off from Bongaigaon after a routine landing for senior administrative manager B.N. Doley, crashed as it touched an elevation of about 25 feet. Doley, along with pilot Mrityunjay Singh and S. Roy, inflight engineer, both Pawan Hans employees, sustained injuries and were rushed to the Bongaigaon refinery hospital nearby.
