PCMT bus runs into hutment

PUNE, Sept 29: A Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Transport (PCMT) bus ran into a hutment located near the railway crossing adjoining the Khadki Railway Station this morning destroying four huts. Nobody was injured in the mishap.

The bus was heading towards Pimpri from Pune when the accident took place, around 9.45 a.m. The bus ran into the four huts after the driver lost control over it, the police said. A major mishap was averted as the occupants had gone out.

A panchnama prepared shortly after the mishap by Assistant Sub-Inspector S M Dhandwad from Bopodi police chowki estimated the damaged around Rs 20,000. The driver, Ghanashyam Narayan Tilekar (25) from Dehu village has been arrested.
