PUNE, Nov 7: The Pimpri-Chinchwad New Township Development Authority (PCNTDA) has issued a notice warning owners of plots allotted by the PCNTDA to submit the building plans before December 31 and initiate construction activity, failing which the lease deeds would be cancelled.

Incidentally this is the second such notice issued by the PCNTDA. The first notice, which was issued in January, evoked no response from the plot owners thus prompting the authorities to issue the final warning.

Chief executive officer Prakash Joshi in the notice stated that each plot owner was required to submit the building plans within three months of registration of the lease deed, and complete the construction within three years after sanctioning of the building plan. The conditions have been mentioned in the agreements reached between the PCNTDA and the plot owners. The number of such defaulters has been large, though Joshi while speaking to The Indian Express could not specify the exact number.

When the first notice evoked no response from the plot owners, the PCNTDA approved a resolution for giving a final date (December 31) for submission of the building plans. The notice has warned the plot owners that this was the last opportunity for them to submit the plans.
