BANGALORE, July 2: With the rains relenting for the second day running, the Indian cricket probables had a good four-hour stint at the nets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday. The camp is for 27 probables from which a team of 14 will be selected on July 7 for the one-day Asia Cup Cricket Tournament from July 14 at Sri Lanka. Two others will join the team for the mini-series which follows the Asia Cup.The camp was in full strength with captain Sachin Tendulkar, joining the rest of the probables at the nets in the morning. Tendulkar expressed satisfaction at the way things went today. ``After a long break, it was a refreshing session,'' he said. Tendulkar admitted that there was too much of cricket in recent years and the players badly needed rest.``There should be a gap between each series so that the players can recoup. This would be one of the topics of discussion during the meeting of the captains of various countries convened by the International Cricket Council at London on July 8.''``The Bangalore camp may be short but I am confident that it would produce the needed results,'' he said. Meanwhile, the newly-appointed physical trainer, Tej Krishan Kaul, also joined the team and charted out the physical training aspect of the camp. ``I would work on specifics like fielding, batting and wicket-keeping instead of tackling all issues at the same time.``I would try and improve the endurance and speed of the players,'' said Tej. Madan Lal had said that the team needed a psychologist. Dr Jayant Paraki, a consultant in alternative and holistic medicine, would be interacting with the team from tomorrow.
