A picnic on Saturday on the banks of the Ganga in Shivpuri turned into a nightmare for students of Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rajpura, Punjab. One of them drowned while more than 100 others suffered from food poisoning. The students were out rafting when currents overturned a raft. One fo them drowned. At the camp, students fell ill after eating pakoras. Some of them trudged to a Rishikesh hospital to bring back doctors. The camp organisers and cooks fled.
