
CHANDIGARH, Oct 30: The Anti-Piracy Cell of the CIA staff of Chandigarh today conducted raids on alleged video-pirates and seized about 2,000 video cassettes, laser discs and video compact discs of foreign films worth over Rs 35 lakh. Two persons were arrested in this connection.
Three different teams of the cell, along with the representatives of the Indian chapter of the Motion Pictures Association, based at New Delhi, conducted raids. Raids were conducted at Hollywood Video, Video Vision and Laser Disc in Sector 9.
The police also arrested Ajay Gupta, proprietor of Hollywood Video, and Inderjit Singh, manager Video Vision.
They have been booked under the Copy Right Act and further investigations are on, Inspector K.I.P. Singh, head of the CIA staff said.
