NEW DELHI, SEPT 11: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, by promising to build a ``dream India'', once BJP gets two-thirds majority might not necessarily have promised the ``construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya'', claim BJP and VHP leaders.``Why do people always rake up Ram Temple issue? It is well-known now that construction of the Ram Temple is not in BJP's agenda,'' says BJP chief Bangaru Laxman.Vajpayee's assertion at a VHP conference in New York, to build a dream India, was interpreted as an attempt to build bridges with the Sangh Parivar leaders who are annoyed with him for getting Govindacharya dropped from the list of BJP office-bearers, sidestepping the RSS agenda and attempts to appease the Muslims. The VHP, did not appear pleased with the Prime Minister's statement. ``He did not consult us on the issue and we don't know exactly what he meant by dream India,'' VHP's joint general secretary Onkar Bhave told The Indian Express today.
