The Surendra Shetty case lived up to its hype as the three-hour courtroom action on Saturday was charged with drama before Judicial Magistrate R.P. Mehta passed his judgement. Mehta ordered Surendra Shetty to be remanded in police custody till Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a local court today deferred till June 24 the bail plea of Sunanda Shetty, mother of actress Shilpa Shetty, in the case on health grounds.
